This class of the typology brings together cases corresponding to technology markets. Among these cases are the plane tree variety resistant to canker stain Platanor, the Ariane apple variety resistant to scab (a fungal disease), or the probe for detecting fouling in agri-food systems.

Typically, INRAE carries out the research alone, from inputs through to output generation. Research results are generally protected by intellectual property rights. Typically, a licensing agreement, sometimes exclusive, is negotiated with an external actor who takes responsibility for their diffusion.

The intensity of impacts depends largely on the behaviour of the external actor, its financial health, its competitive situation and the size of its market.
